Garbage & Recycling

For Gables By the Sea Residents:
Gables by the Sea regular garbage pickup is every Monday and Thursday.
The City of Coral Gables has a policy of no trash or recycling receptacles placed on the right of way, your recycle bins and the trash containers are picked up from the side of your home; no need to bring your receptacles down to the curb. The Coral Gables sanitation staff will go to the side/back of the property to collect and return the bins at every pick-up on Mondays and Thursdays.
Gables By the Sea recycling is picked up every week on Mondays. Please place all accepted recycling materials in the special recycling bin provided by the City of Coral Gables. You may request additional red recycle bins for free by calling The Public Works Department, Sanitation Division at 305-460-5346.
The permitted time to place up to 1 cubic yard of household refuse & clean yard waste is after 6pm on Sunday, which is the night before the weekly pick-up on Mondays. Code enforcement can issue fines for failure to abide. The HOA encourages everyone to ask their gardeners to take the yard waste with them for disposal so we do not have to view mounds of yard waste throughout the neighborhood. These same gardeners provide this service to our Pinecrest by the Sea neighbors as the Village of Pinecrest does not allow these unsightly trash piles.
